About Green Corps Documentaries :During Spring 2011, through a comprehensive media arts residency with Meridian Hill Pictures, the DC Green Corps trainees produced these four short videos to express in their own voice how urban forestry and greening are helping to meet critical needs in underserved communities in Washington, DC. The trainees conducted research, interviews, learned advanced production skills including storyboarding, camerawork, sound and editing. The trainees premiered their videos at the American Film Institute’s Silver Theatre in May 2010, and the films have since screened accross the country. The Green Corps trainees and their stories are part of a feature documentary currently in production by Meridian Hill Pictures.
