Burn On A Budget Healthy Cooking Demonstration

DeanwoodxDesign Hosts Burn on a Budget: Healthy Cooking demonstration and Eat A Rainbow Workshop for kids.  
Join us for our first culinary event. Burn On A Budget is a Healthy Cooking demonstration hosted by Malonda Richard-Sia. Ms. Richards will show you how to cook a healthy meal for your family in 30 minutes on a limited budget. 
EAT YOU RAINBOW WORKSHOP FOR KIDS facilitated by Alison Henderson !!! A fun way to help you and your family choose the right foods is to Eat a Rainbow - choose fresh fruitsand vegetables from each color of a rainbow. This workshop will teach kids to choose from a “rainbow” of food, from purple plums to red apples to greens like spinach and celery. 
Kids will enjoy a sampling of seasonal vegetables and fruits and take some items and make a smoothie or a healthy snack like bean dip. We will provide “ChooseMyPlate” handouts for kids to draw their idea of a nutritional meal and discuss healthier items to eat at lunch during school. Door Prize. Free T-Shirts for all attendees.  Location: Riverside Center Cafe  RSVP FREE
